Flora (plant life) in the Eastern Himalayas

The eastern himalayan region offers a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Since a long time it’s been a haven for the plant collectors as well as growers.

Sharing some pictures of plants which I took in the past week or so.

Coelogyne Cristata, wild orchid; Rhododendron; Azalea’s in bloom alongside a Tree Fern. A treat to botanist and plant lovers.

The Kanchendzonga ranges provide a beautiful backdrop to this bamboo grove.

Chinese teaks dance to the winter windswept clouds.

Wild orchids in bloom.

The region exports a good number of plants as well as to the Indian market. If you love plants, you know where to travel to explore the beauty of them.
